VIA LINK connects people and organizations with information and resources to
enable them to help themselves and others. VIA LINK fulfills this
mission through services, referral, and crisis intervention.
The origin of the agency dates back to the 1920s. Officially formed in 1972 as the Volunteer and Information Agency, the agency expanded information and referral services in 1989, adding crisis and suicide prevention services through the COPE-line. In 2000, the organization modified its name and mission to focus on the provision on information and crisis services for the metro area and nine surrounding parishes.
